Analyzing your results

[ Home ]---- [ Beginning ] ---- [ Planning ] ---- [ Analyzing ] ---- [ Reporting ]

So what did you discover from your assessment activity? Sometimes assessment activities reveal gaps in instruction or difficulties in student comprehension. Are you going to change any of your activities? Add instructional materials or revise the ones you already use? Change the way you assess this specific skill? Are you going to focus in more closely on a specific area for improvement? Or are you going to drop this activity altogether?

All the reports from Spring and Fall, 2006 are available in the English Department Assessment Notebook. Each report you submit will be added to the notebook. Note that you can see all your reports, all reports submitted by others from a course you teach, or all the reports submitted. This is a great resource, especially when we spend a little time analyzing our results and thinking about how they can be useful in the future.
