An understanding of the fundamental concepts of computing and learning is necessary to effectively integrate technology into the classroom. 

COMPUTING AT GCC

Currently, GCIS (Glendale College Information Services) has four divisions:

A thorough exploration of the above websites is a good way to become familiar with the resources offered by these divisions.

Wireless computing is also available in most areas of campus.

ADULT LEARNING

Adults learn differently than children and teenagers and are motivated differently. These websites offer some brief insights into adult learning.

Introduction to Learning Styles by Marcia Conner provides an overview of learning styles and a list of resources to learn more about learning styles.  A brief questionnaire What's Your Learning Style? will help you and your students identify your dominant learning style.  Motivation Style Assessment will help you and your students identify what motivates you to learn.
