Agave felgeri-Mescalito Agave

This is one of the smaller of the agaves.  It has few narrow leaves arranged in a loose rosette with each leaf 1/4"-1/2" wide and about a foot long, light green, with a stripe down the middle.  It also has no teeth.

It is native in Mexico on the central Sonoran coast on very dry rocky locales but is not common.  It is semi hardy in Phoenix surviving to 25F listed as USDA 9b-11, has has excellent heat tolerance and will do best in full sun.  The loose rosette can grow up to 16" in diameter.  This agave should not be overwatered.
