Aloe cooperi

One of the smaller growing of the Aloes to 14" by 12".  The thin leaves are arranged in a fan shape.  Flowers in summer are pink coral red.  It should remain dry in winter months and will prefer full sun and good drainage.  It is native to the mountain tops near Greytown in Natal and will offset freely.

This is one of the Grass Aloes that are deciduous in winter.  This aloe also has small white teeth along the margins with white warts along the leaf bases.  It has a rather lax upright growth habit.
