Aloe cryptopoda

A South African native that grows to about 4' tall and as wide. The large leaves are light green to glaucous green and quite fleshy. Red to yellow bloom spikes appear from January into March.

This aloe will tolerate full sun to light shade and is quite drought tolerant.  This aloe is not prone to producing offsets.  As the name implies, the trunk is hidden and basically this aloe remains trunkless.  Hardy to 28F. USDA Zone 9.
