Asparagus densiflorus 'Sprengeri'-Asparagus Fern

This compact form of the Sprengeri asparagus fern forms a very dense, compact clump of bright green fronds.  In the low desert it should be grown in partial to full shade.  An excellent plant for use in hanging baskets, in borders or as a groundcover can rapidly grow to 3' wide.

Small red fruit are also attractive.  Removing old branches in spring can help the overall appearance.
