Berberis harrisoniana-Kofa Mountain Barberry

 
Small evergreen shrub growing to 3' high and wide. Slow Sonoran desert native. Hollylike foliage. Leaves are trifoliate. Flowers in late winter with yellow flowers. The fruit is small and blue-black. Not at its best in very alkaline soils.
