Cupressus sempervirens-Italian Cypress
Cypress Family

Southern European native.  There are many cultivars with varying growth habits available.  Many can reach to 60' high.  This tree does quite well in the low desert and often the only problem is an infestation of red spider mites which can make the foliage look dusty and brown in color.  A sharp stream of water can wash the pests off.
