Cylindropuntia fulgida-Chainfruit Cholla
Cactaceae Family

This cholla can reach a height of 10' by 8' wide.  The joints are pale green, 5" long and covered with 1" straw colored spines.  Flowers are pink and appear in June to August.  The fruit appear in chainlike clusters.  It is native on desert plains from 1000-4000' in southern Arizona into Mexico.
