*** Attention students, I have been informed by one of your classmates
that a couple of students are going to start getting together as a
study group after class on Tuesdays and Thursdays (starting next
Thursday 10/22). They plan to meet in the math solution area and
perhaps move to one of the "Group Study" rooms available in the Math
Solution. If you are interested and your schedule permits, see
Joshua Baldwin for more details. ***
Syllabus

The
ISBN for our class textbook is 0321460065. If you can't find this
text at our bookstore you may be
able to find it "online". Type the ISBN into any search engine
(google
for example) and you will find several places where you can obtain the
textbook. You will need this text for the homework problems
starting
with the second day of class. If you are "waiting" on the book to
arrive at our bookstore or to be shipped to you then you can go to Math
Solution and borrow a copy of the text and xerox the problems (although
it will cost you whatever the xerox machine charges). Math
Solution has 2 copies of our textbook.
Here
is a power point presentation that all incoming college students should
view (especially if you recently graduated from high school) !!! Once you have down
loaded it either hit F5 on your keyboard to start the slide show or,
click on "slide show" in the tool bar at the top of the screen and then
click on "view slide show". Click your mouse to advance through
the
slides.

SSEAA scholarship
application (and info) can be downloaded (brand new for Fall 2009!!!) here
(this scholarship is for people majoring in Computer Science,
Engineering, Math, or their related technologies. You can find
out all necessary information by downloading the application (word
document). It will tell you the eligibility requirements and what
you need to do to apply along with a contact person if you need more
information). $2000
per semester!!!!!!
