Pre-Pharmacy Club

"The Prescription To A Great Start”

Welcome to Pre-Pharmacy Club

The Pre-Pharmacy club of Glendale Community College was established in January 2007. The club started with a vision to support the students of Glendale Community College who intend to get admission into pharmacy schools. The club meetings are scheduled every week to provide an opportunity for members to communicate and share information about the pharmacy college admission test (PCAT) and the application process. Three faculty advisors (Dr Jason Serin, Chemistry Department, Dr. Joseph Springer, Chemistry Department and Dr. Wei-Jen Lee, Chemistry Department) come to the club meetings to mentor and advise the students about the strategies for success in getting admission into pharmacy college. The advisors also are available to answer any questions from PCAT in their respective areas of expertise and guide the students  to the resources available to prepare for the test.

The Pre-Pharmacy Club also has elected officials who carry out specific activities and organize events to support and further the overall career goals of the club members. The officials and advisors organize tours to local pharmacy colleges and pharmaceutical industries, invite guest speakers from pharmacy colleges and industries for information sessions and networking.
