The Glendale Community College weather station began collecting data on September 19, 2001. The current conditions are available "live" on the web. Data sets can be requested from Lynn Newman.
Weather variables measured & collected as of 9/19/01 include: Wind speed and Direction, Temperature, Dew Point, Barometric Pressure, and Precipitation. UV (Ultraviolet Radiation) and Solar Radiation archive began August 19, 2002.
Weather variables computed... Wind Chill, Heat Indices (Apparent Temperature Measures), and Evapotranspiration (ET).
The weather station is a Davis Instruments Cabled Vantage Pro Plus and is using WeatherLink software.

Sept. 19, 2001 - Station installed, data collection began, and initial website created
Aug. 19, 2002 - Ultraviolet and solar radiation data archive began
Oct. 2002 - Weather station running on a new computer
Mar. 2009 - Weather station moved to a new computer
Jul. 2009 - Weather station moved to a new server
Aug. 31, 2009 - Updated website appearance adding forecasts, satellite, radar, and surface weather map images. Station updates every minute.
