Introduction to Psychology PSY101

Dear Student,

This semester we will learn together about the main topics of Psychology. I always compare this course to an ocean that is only one inch deep. We will cover a lot of content, yet we won’t be able to expand on these topics to the degree most students would like to. Regardless of this challenge, I am fully invested in facilitating your learning process and helping you to succeed. I view myself as an educator with the mission to help my society reach higher levels of knowledge and productivity and I hope to make your learning experience highly informative, personally relevant, and intellectually exciting. I have three main expectations of you: 1) I expect you to put your best effort; 2) I expect you to be a critical thinker; 3) and I expect you to be an active learner.  I believe these are critical components towards personal and academic growth. Only if you allow yourself to develop, will you be able to take a glimpse at your best future possible self. Welcome to psych 101!
