Michelle learned traditional graphic design and desktop publishing in the mid 1980’s while working at the local school district’s media lab where she created multimedia instructional materials for K-12 teachers. Michelle spent several years in California studying Graphic Communications at Point Loma University and Sailing at the US Navy Sailing Center in San Diego, before graduating from Eastern Michigan University with a BFA in Visual Communications. She attended DeProgram interactive design immersion program in the Netherlands and UK.

Michelle moved to Phoenix from Ann Arbor, Michigan in 2004 when she joined the College Application Services Team. She enjoys working with faculty to help improve the faculty and the student experience. Michelle especially likes working with hybrid and online formats. She serves as the campus Blackboard Administrator, Co-Chairs the District's Blackboard Content System team and represents the college in the Ocotillo Online Learning Group. She also organizes Wellness Volleyball for employees on campus.
Trained in Graphic Design, she enjoys collecting vintage travel posters, especially Art Nuveau and Deco era. She enjoys being a mom to her three little ones and getting out and about in Arizona and the southwest as much as possible. Michelle has been to England, France, Germany, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Spain, Canada, Mexico, Belize, and 45 US States. One of their favorite destinations is Northern Michigan where she has a cottage near Lake Huron.
