How To Map to The GCC H: and
S: drives
Go to your home computer. Open Windows Explorer. Click on the My Computer icon ___ you should get a view similar to Figure 1.

Click on My Network Places as shown in Figure 2.

In the Windows Explorer toolbar, click the Folders button so your screen looks like Figure 3.

Under Network Tasks, click on Add A Network Place. Your screen looks like Figure 4.

Click the next button. Your screen will look like Figure 5.

In Figure 5, click on Choose Another Network, and then press the Next button. Then your screen will look like figure 6.

In Figure 6. you will type in the path for the drive you want to map to!!!
To map to the H: drive, type in:
https://files.gccaz.edu/home/X/Y/Z
where X is the 1st letter of your
palette login username.
where Y is the 2nd letter of your
palette login username.
where Z is your full palette login username.
An Example:

After entering the information Figure 7, press the next button.
Figure 8 is then displayed.
Do not change the Name for this

You might get this username and password box at this point ___ if so, enter your Gcc Palette username and password and then press the OK button.

Click the next button. Figure 9 is displayed.

Click the Finish button.
Your H: drive space should now appear in a window of Windows Explorer such as that shown in Figure 9.

This mapping will remain part of your home system ___ you can always go to My Network Places in Windows Explorer and click on My Network Places to “see” your H: drive space. You can open files, edit themn and re-save them. It isn’t as fast as your C: drive, but it works well most of the time.
Mapping to the S: Drive
Go back to Figure 6. in this documentation.
Enter this information:
https://files.gccaz.edu/shared
in the Internet or Network Address box.
As in Figure 7, press Next.
Figure 8 will show:
Figure 9 will be similar to this screen.

Press Finish, Windows Explorer opens showing the mapping to the S: drive. Expand the Courses Folder . . .

And you will see the Course folders . . . (not all are shown).

Expand the specific course folder to see materials related to your courses.
