In the modern workplace, it is imperative that Information Technology works both effectively and reliably. Computer and information systems technicians play a vital role in the implementation and administration of technology within their organizations. They plan, coordinate, and direct research on the computer-related activities. In consultation with other departments, they help determine the goals of an organization and then implement technology to meet those goals. They may also oversee all technical aspects of an organization, such as software development, network security, and Internet operations.
Computer Information Systems - AAS

The Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degree in Computer Information Systems program is designed to prepare students who are planning to find employment using current computer applications. Courses include Survey of Computer Information Systems and a variety of operating systems, database management, and popular programming languages. A Certificate of Completion (CCL) is also available.

Programming & System Analysis - AAS

The Associate of Applied Science (AAS) program provides an in-depth exploration of different computer language and technical skills. Includes, but is not limited to the following: operating systems, local area networks, business communication, team roles, and dynamics. A Certificate of Completion (CCL) is also available.

Computer Information Systems - Certificate

The Certificate of Completion (CCL) in Computer Information Systems program is designed to meet the needs of students who are planning to find employment using current computer applications. It is intended for students who may later want to pursue an Associate's Degree in Computer Information Systems, but who do not expect to go beyond the community college program. The courses include Survey of Computer Information Systems and a variety of operating systems, database management, and popular programming languages. An Associate in Applied Science (AAS) is also available.
